Youth
I recently came across this story and it made me reflect on my own childhood. I astounded by the fact that children are becoming more and more tech savvy. It is engrained into their curriculum at school and even in their home lives. Ever since the Ipad came out, I have seen an increasing amount of toddlers being occupied by these devices. This opens up a market for applications that are geared towards child development. Although I do not have children, I am fairly confident in children's abilities to learn how to use the devices. This is a new age of technology that will help younger people adapt to the real world.

yes it is amazing how technology has changed our kids. Today at church another child had a tablet that she was playing with. My children asked me why they don't have an Ipad. It was a WOW moment for me. When it comes to all the technology I'm not one to purchase all the different devices, because they change to frequently. But when they asked for an Ipad, that just let me know that they are intuned with the technology around them. I have been looking at Innotab for kids.
ReplyDeleteI could not imagine a toddler with an ipad....i bought my daughter the nintendo dsi and she does take care of it but still is a child and is clumsy and drops it all the time....a toddler with an ipad just seems like a great way to use the insurance you bought for the ipad...i dont doubt they can use them but as far as taking care of them i cant see that
ReplyDeleteI am not sure I am on the tech savvy train. I limit the amount of media time my kids have to the point of being considered a tv nazi by them. I think there is enough time in life to learn all of the uses of the new gadgets, but how much time is there to enjoy the days spent playing in a park, riding bikes, or catching fire flies?
ReplyDeleteIf they are using it for educational purposes I think ipads and tablets are great for children. They are definitely getting more tech savvy younger and younger.
ReplyDeleteI think her blog is awesome and appropriate for age she is NOT tweeting or facebooking. Her subject matter is about something she really has a lot of experience with her school lunch. She rocks! she twenty years younger than me and already a blogger!
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to believe how much technology has changed and how the youth of our country are adapting. It is crazy to think about the technology my daughter will be using in 10-15 years.
