Alternative Housing

Simple living.  There are different types of living arrangements that people choose to live in.  This site depicts an Australian church that has been renovated into a modern dwelling.  It seems that the older buildings get, the more likely they are to be turned into residences.  One example here in KC is the fact that many warehouses around downtown are being converted into lofts.
This story describes a micro cabin that can be considered as a true getaway.  It is basically a tiny cabin.  Solitude has never been so easy.

  1. I do think people are starting to open their minds to creative housing. I looked at some lofts downtown when I was buying but couldn't pull the trigger.

  2. I think it is a good idea to put lofts in the old wharehouses. At least something is being done with them, and they are not just rotting away.

  3. I agree putting loft in old warehouses sounds like a good idea.

  4. It would be a great way to solve problems of vacant buildings and homeless people that won't fit into the over crowded shelters.

  6. I think the fact that we aren't having to clear land for new home developments is great. Maybe some of the KCMO school buildings could be used as shelters.
